European Rowing Championships U19: Romanian athletes win three gold medals

Romanian athletes won five medals at the 2022 European Rowing Under 19 Championships, held at Lago di Varese, in northern Italy.

Three Romanian teams won gold medals, namely the men’s four (Cosmin Pelesescu, Eduard Moldovan, Nicolae Stoian, Marian Dunca), women’s four (Andreea Todirică, Iulia Nedelcu, Delia Gradinaciuc, Ana-Maria Matran), and women’s eight plus (Narcisa Magura, Andreea Petruş, Cosmina Grigore, Iulia Boldea, Beatrice Piseru, Denisa Ailincăi, Felicia Mihai, Andra Filote, Irina Despa).

At the same time, a silver medal went to the men’s double sculls team (Andrei Vatamaniuc, Leontin Nuţescu), while the bronze medal was won by the women’s quadruple sculls (Ioana Paşcovici, Andreea Şerban, Georgiana Blanariu, Elena Mocanu).
