Roland Mahler to coordinate Deutsche Telekom's operation in CEE, Romania included
Telecom company Deutsche Telekom's operations in the Central and Eastern European countries, Romania included, where the German group is represented through OTE, will be coordinated by Roland Mahler, former executive director of the Czech division of Deutsche Telekom.
Mahler is temporarily replacing Guido Kerkhoff, who has been in charge of the region and unexpectedly resigned three months before his mandate ended.
Roland Mahler, 62 years old, has been working with the company since 1990. He has previously occupied different positions at the German Post and at the Federal Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. At Deutsche Telekom, Mahler initially supervised radio-telephony services. He was named marketing manager of T-Mobile in 1993 and strategy vice-president in 1998, when he started to manage 3G networks.
