ROLANG organizes the 10th-anniversary edition of the Romanian language summer school for international students in Sibiu
The ROLANG Summer School is designed for language students of all levels of Romanian, offering intensive Romanian courses that will help them reach their language goals faster.
The 10th-anniversary edition of the summer school on the Romanian language will take place between the 24th of July - the 4th of August 2023 in Sibiu.
The students will experience the excitement of learning Romanian in the beautiful city of Sibiu, where history, culture, and modernity come together. Formerly the center of the Transylvanian Saxons, the old city of Sibiu was ranked as "Europe's 8th most idyllic place to live" by Forbes and was designated a European Capital of Culture for the year 2007, in tandem with Luxembourg.
Whether the students are beginner or advanced, the ROLANG experienced teachers will help them develop their skills in a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. The courses are designed to be communicative, so the students will have plenty of opportunities to practice their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, and to immerse themselves in the Romanian language and culture.
Sibiu is a fascinating city, known for its medieval architecture, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant student life. Students will have the opportunity to explore the city's historic center, visit its many museums and cultural landmarks, and sample its delicious cuisine. Summer school is also a great opportunity to meet new people from all over the world, as the classes are international and students come from a variety of different countries.
The program includes morning activities (30 hours of class courses for A1, A2, B1, and B2 levels) and afternoon activities (2 hours of Q&A, 6 hours of conversation lessons, museum visits, film screenings, guided tour of Sibiu city center, the tour of communism, lecture on Romanian history and culture, social parties).
Anyone that is at least 18 years old can participate in the program. The program is taught by experienced and highly qualified teachers, who use an engaging and communicative approach to help students improve their Romanian language skills. Classroom activities are focused on real-life situations and include role-playing, conversation, discussions, vocabulary, and grammar exercises.
At the end of the course, the students will have a test and will receive a certificate proving their level of Romanian.
During the summer school program, students will have the opportunity to:
- Study the Romanian language in small, interactive classes with experienced teachers.
- Participate in a range of cultural activities, excursions, and outdoor activities, including visits to local museums, historical sites, and cultural events.
