Romania can contribute with EUR 10 mln to the Poverty Reduction & Growth Trust
Romania may participate in the Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust (PRGT), managed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), with EUR 9.76 million, according to a Public Finance Ministry draft project.
This would give a significant positive signal for the improvement of Romania’s macroeconomic perspectives, according to the Romanian National Bank, reports local Capital.ro.
It would also be a solidarity gesture, as Romania has benefited from consistent financial support from the Fund.
Romania has committed to reaching a 0.33% ratio of gross national income for the volume of development assistance by 2015.
