Romania closer to awarding new contracts for 100 km of highways
Romania's Highways Company CNADNR recently received offers for highway projects totaling 100 kilometers and worth some EUR 900 million. The deadline for submitting offers was Monday, August 20, and the submitted offers should be open today – Tuesday, August 21.
Construction companies submitted offers for the 97 kilometers of the IV paneuropean corridor – segments 2, 3, 4 of the Lugoj – Deva highway and segment 2 of the Timisoara – Lugoj highway. Another batch of offers were submitted for the 9 kilometers on the route Gilău-Nădăşelu, which is part of the Transylvania highway.
Bids for these highway segments started in April this year. Work will be financed with EU non-reimbursable money and with state funding.
