Romania’s Govt. considers legalising cannabis for medical purposes
Finance minister Eugen Teodorovici said that the legalization of cannabis in Romania for medical purposes is being discussed, as several European countries have done so.
"I also discussed yesterday with the minister [of health]. And I learned that there is such a committee set up to analyze and evaluate the option of legalising of cannabis use for medicinal purposes,” he said, according to local Digi24.
Asked whether cannabis used for recreation could be legalized, Teodorovici said “it is premature to speak about such an option”. He implied that such a move would be taken only as part of coordinated European policies.
