Romanian city photographed from the International Space Station
British astronaut Tim Peake has published on his social network pages a unique picture of Romanian Black Sea port of Constanta. The city was photographed from the International Space Station, where the astronaut is currently living and working.
“Constanta, the oldest continuously inhabited city in Romania,” reads the photo’s presentation.
The photo was shared on Tim Peake’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages on May 1, and gathered thousands of likes in just a few days. For example, the picture has more than 8,700 likes on the astronaut’s Facebook page.
Tim Peake is a British ESA astronaut and test pilot, currently living and working on the International Space Station. He will return to Earth on June 18, according to data posted on Esa.int.
Peake has published several photos taken from space on his social network pages, the most recent ones showing the Lake Maggiore in Italy, Florida, Constanta, and Mt. Etna.
