Romanian exports of IT products and services grew by 10 percent in 2010, to around EUR 500 million, according to Valerica Dragomir, executive manager of the Software and Services Industry Employers' Association (ANIS).  Dragomir said the sector has recovered from the net loss of 2009, bringing the total worth of software exports to around EUR 500 million in 2010, above the level reported in 2007, before the crisis began. In 2008, IT exports accounted for almost EUR 650 million.

Outsourcing made up more than 90 percent of the IT exports of 2010. Security, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) made up the rest.
