Romania faces mid-June heat wave
Romanians will face a heat wave this weekend. The National Meteorology Administration issued a heat warning valid from Saturday, June 13, to Monday, June 15.
Temperatures will reach 35-36 degrees Celsius all across Romania. Meanwhile, the temperature-humidity index will go above the critical threshold of 80 units.
The heat wave will first affect Western and South – Western regions, then spread to the South and East of the country.
In some areas in the Danube plain, the temperature will even reach 37 degrees Celsius.
