The Romanian Government wants to reduce the number of poor people by 400,000 until 2020 through a set of measures. It approved yesterday the national strategy on social inclusion and poverty reduction for 2015-2020.

It plans to help the poor and vulnerable persons find jobs through labor market activation programs and to increase the financial support for people with low income.

The Government also wants to promote the social inclusion of marginalized communities, with a focus on kids. It intends to improve the social services and increase the role of the social economy.
