Romania wins first place at International Geography Olympiad
Romania’s team won the first place at the International Geography Olympiad in Canada.
Romanian students won three gold medals and a silver one, the Education Ministry announced. Three students from Iasi, Bianca Elena Solomon, Andrei Sandu and Manuel Cristian Fosalau, won the gold medals, and Omar Hamod from Bucharest got the silver.
Some 160 students from 43 countries participated in this year’s edition of the International Geography Olympiad.
