Romania gets EUR 360 mln to better absorb EU funds
The European Investment Bank (EIB) signed three contracts with the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of European Funds, and the National Agency for Public Procurement for providing EUR 360 million funding to help Romania increase EU fund absorption.
The money will be used to partially cover the state’s investments in increasing the absorption rate.
The Finance Minister Anca Dragu and EIB vice-president Cristian Popa signed the financing contract.
“The agreement will allow Romania to benefit from programs that will lead to a GDP growth,” said Cristian Popa.
