Romania has the best fixed internet access infrastructure in Central and Eastern Europe, which will allow companies to offer advanced cloud computing services, according to a recent study by Cisco.

Romania is also among the top 10 countries in the world with best fixed networks performance, with an average download speed of 38.4 Mbps and an average upload speed of 26.6 Mbps.

By 2018, half of the globe’s population will use cloud solutions to keep data, and Romania could benefit of the trend, according to Cisco.

Romania had 3.8 million broadband internet access points in 2013 – a million of which in rural areas - up 7% year-on-year. For over half of the broadband internet subscriptions for individuals, the data transfer speed is of at least 30 Mbps.
