Guest writer Roxana Baicu joined Romania-Insider.com at the beginning of 2014 with the aim of sharing food experiences throughout Romania. She promotes Romania, with traveling experiences and restaurant suggestions and above all she is proud and loves to discover Romanian artists, such as painters, interior designers, photographers.

Last summer she started Satori Journal, a blog for beautiful things, artworks, self discovery through traveling, food & wine experiences, inspirational books and movie reviews. The blog is about exploring and being curious. It is about life lived beautifully. It aims to be a relaxing place to look for after a busy working day, with real experiences, amazing places chosen to travel, suggested after months of research as well as stunning expressions of creativity.

She shares her experiences from exotic Asia to the still wild Transylvania, from tasty street food to big gourmand restaurants, cooking the well-known chefs’ recipes in the kitchen, practicing transcendental meditation, looking for great readings and always in appreciation of great art and interior designs. All of these shared on Satori Journal, for curious people to find great tips to bring more joy to life.

Roxana’s current project is the e-Shop on her blog where she wants to promote everything she writes about: arts, table accessories, hand-made jewelry, food&wines.

“I would like the readers to find at ease all these nice things to accessorize their life.”

"As I was reading a great book last summer, I found about Satori- a Japanese Buddhist term for awakening, comprehension. Satori refers to the experience of kenshō- seeing into one’s true nature. It is about self discovery, the endless search to evolution, exploring the unknown and get out of the comfort zone. I believe that there is a connection and energy that is found within each place, each person or moment.”
