Marian Crisan won the Palme D'Or in 2008 for his short film Megatron, which became his best known creation.

His feature length film debut was in 2010, with Morgen, which won him the special jury award at Locarno. His second feature length film, Rocker, premiered in 2012, and was selected for several international film festivals.

His latest film was Rocker in 2013. His upcoming film for 2014 is Orizont a.k.a. Pădurea /The Forest.

Crisan was born in 1976 in Salonta, Romania. He is a director and a screen writer. He graduated in film making at the University of Theater and Film in Bucharest, in 1999.
