Romania-Italy-France co-production gets Panorama Audience award at Berlin Film Festival
The movie ‘Diaz - Don’t Clean Up This Blood’, an Italian-Romanian-French co-production directed by Daniele Vicari, got a Panorama Audience award at this year’s Berlinale Film Festival. The movie is produced by Domenico Procacci, Romanian Bobby Paunescu and Jean Labadie, and stars several Romanian actors, such as Monica Barladeanu and Ana Ularu. The movie centers around police brutality against protesters at the 2001 G8 Summit in Genoa. Check out the trailer below. More about the movie here.
Two other movies got the Panorama Audience award this year, namely the Serbian - Croatian - Macedonian - Slovenian co-production ‘The Parade’ directed by Sredjan Dragojevic, and Brazil’s ‘Xingu’ directed by Cao Hamburger.
Romania was part of the Berlin Film festival for the fifth year in a row. Romanian director Radu Jude’s latest film, ‘Everybody in our family,’ was selected in the Forum section of the Berlin International Festival and was premiered worldwide at the 62nd edition of the festival.
Romanian actress Ana Ularu, 26, also won the ‘Shooting Stars’ trophy at the Berlin International Film Festival.
