The Romanian state will limit the daily cash payments starting April to RON 10,000 (EUR 2,248) for companies and RON 50,000 (EUR 11,243) for individuals.

On March 11, the Chamber of Deputies approved the law on limiting cash payments, reports local Capital.ro.

Companies can receive payments and receipts of up to RON 5,000 (EUR 1,124) from one person per day, but without exceeding a daily total ceiling of RON 10,000.

Payments in advance for settlements will be up to RON 5,000 for one person.

The payments and receipts between individuals, following the transfer of ownership on goods or rights, provision of services or loans can’t exceed a RON 50,000 total ceiling per day.
