The state will recruit managers for several transport companies it owns: airline Tarom, passenger railways company CFR Calatori, railways infrastructure company CFR SA, Bucharest Airports and metro operator Metrorex.
The recruitment process is due to end on October 30, and is handled by the association Pricewaterhouse Coopers Tax Advisors & Accountants, D&B David & Baias and George Butunoiu Group, who won the tender mid-2012.
The ‘private managers for state companies’ program started several years ago, and many of these managers chose to leave shortly after being selected. A Governmental commission is currently monitoring financial indicators for companies where private management is already in place, as well as check whether corporate governance rules are respected.
