Romanian opposition to file no-confidence motion against government
The opposition will file a no-confidence motion against the PSD-ALDE government led by prime minister Viorica Dancila around December 10, according to liberal MP Ioan Cupsa.
The opposition parties in the Parliament, namely the National Liberal party (PNL), Save Romania Union (USR) and Popular Movement Party (PMP) also need to convince the Hungarian Union (UDMR) and MPs of the ruling coalition to join their cause for the motion to pass. About 50-60 votes are still needed for the motion to be successful, according to Ioan Cupsa, local Digi24 reported.
The opposition initiated another no-confidence motion in June this year, but failed to gather enough votes for it to pass.
