Romania pays over EUR 156 mln for 17 km highway section
Romania's National Company for Highways (CNADNR) has opened the auction to build a EUR 16.8 km section of the Brasov-Oradea highway, in a contract estimated at EUR 155.9 million (without VAT).
Constructors can submit bids by May 6. The contract will have a 66-month implementation period.
Six months covers the design period; 12 months are needed for execution and 48 months represent the guarantee period.
The project will be financed with money from the state budget.
The highway segment is part of the famous Bechtel Highway, also named the Transylvania Highway, still unfinished.
