Romania will grant five-year visas to Turkish business people, part of a package of measures aiming to facilitate Turkish investments in the country, according to Romanian president Traian Basescu, quoted by Today's Zaman ( December 12 ). Turkey is Romania's fifth biggest trade partner. There are 6,000 Turkish companies active in Romania. The USD 10 billion trade threshold could soon be achieved, according to the Turkish Foreign Affairs Ministry's estimates in August this year.
