Romanian men’s water polo team qualifies for 2024 European Championship

Romania's national team has qualified for the 2024 Men's European Water Polo Championship, scheduled to take place in Netanya, Israel, from January 3 to 16.

According to the announcement made by local club Steaua Bucuresti, nine star polo players contributed to this qualification, namely Mihai Drăgușin, Andrei Neamțu, Tudor Fulea, Victor Antipa, Andrei Țepeluș, Răducu Dincă, Vlad Georgescu, Francesco Iudean, and Alin Pîrîianu.

"The 'tricolors,' coached by Steaua's Bogdan Rath and George Deacu, won the preliminary group in Kranj (Slovenia). Romania clearly won the first two games, 19-9 against Switzerland and 19-6 against Finland, and finished tied, 10-10, in the last match, the one against the host team," Steaua Bucuresti said in its Facebook post, quoted by News.ro.
