Romania ranks 3rd for new car registrations in the EU
Romania had the third largest increase for new car registrations in the EU, going up by 23.9%, in the first 11 months of this year, while local car brand Dacia had the most important increase among the brands with high sales volumes, of 27.1%, according to data published by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), cited by local Mediafax.
The new car sales in Romania increased to 64,577 units between January and November, compared to 51,141 units recorded in the same period last year.
Portugal and Ireland topped Romania with higher increases: of 34.5% to 130,887 units, respectively 29.4% to 95,988 units.
Dacia registrations went up to 331,762 units in the first 11 months of this year, compared to 261,016 units in the same period in 2013.
