Romania ranks last in Europe for the use of mobile banking

Romania ranks last in Europe for the number of people who use mobile banking, with a share of 22%.

Over 25% of the Romanian respondents say that they don’t plan using this service in the next year.

In the Netherlands, the share of mobile banking users exceeds 60%, according to a survey carried out by Ipsos for ING Bank.

At European level, about 47% of the people use the mobile banking service. In the United States, the share of people using this service is 53%.

Despite the growing trend among EU citizens of using mobile banking services, over a third of them still go to banks several times a year, even several times a month. This is true particularly in France.
