Romania records lower annual inflation rate in October
Consumer prices in Romania went up by 0.2% month-on-month in October, according to data from the National Statistics Office INS. The annual inflation rate went down to 1.44%, after it climbed to 1.54% in September. The inflation rate is however higher than the one registered in August - 0.85%.
In October, food prices increased by 0.6%, while prices for services went up by 0.2%. In the case of non-food items, prices decreased by 0.1%, according to INS.
Romania’s Central Bank BNR reduced last week the inflation forecast from 2.2% to 1.5% for this year and from 3% to 2.2% for 2015.
