Romania registers record agri-food exports of EUR 4 bln
Romania exported agri-food products worth almost EUR 4 billion in the first nine months of this year, setting a record of the past 20 years, while the trade surplus exceeded EUR 349 million at the end of September, according to data from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
"Romania's agri-food exports amounted to EUR 3.9 billion between January and September 2014, up 11.2% over the same period in 2013, while imports recorded a slight increase of 1.3% in the period, up to EUR 3.55 billion," reads the Minister data, cited by local Agerpres.
The trade surplus in the first nine months of 2014 amounted to EUR 349.6 million, up EUR 346.3 million compared to the results in the same period last year, when the balance trade balance was only EUR 3.3 million.
