Romania sees 6.5% annual growth in the number of real estate deals
Romanians concluded almost 212,000 real estate deals in the first quarter of this year, 6.5% more than in the same period last year, according to the National Agency for Cadaster and Registration (ANCPI).
People sold over 89,700 properties in March, 16,000 more compared to the previous month.
Compared to March 2015, the number of transactions rose by 10,762.
Bucharest saw most real estate deals in the first three months of the year, with over 20,300, followed by Ilfov county, with over 11,400 deals, and Timis, with almost 10, 400 deals. Gorj was the county with the lowest number of real estate deals, namely almost 2,000.
In March, Bucharest recorded most real estate deals, with almost 8,700 transactions.
