Romania sets up gas transport company with Azerbaijan and Georgia
Romania, Azerbaijan and Georgia have signed an agreement to set up a mixed company which will carry gas from Azerbaijan to Euroope through Georgia, according to the Economy Ministry. The campany will be setup in Bucharest and its main shareholders will be Romanian firm Romgaz Medias, Socar from Azerbaijan and GOGC from Georgia. The project also includes a gas liquefaction unit on the Black Sea coast and the transport of the gas to Romania, which will build a re-aeration unit. The new company will be setup within 30 days. Romania has gas pipes connecting it to Hungary and the Bulgarian connection will be finalized next year.
