Romania shows its new F-16 fighters at the December 1 military parade
The military parade that will take place at the Arch of Triumph in Bucharest will be the highlight of the December 1 National Day celebration. More than 3,000 troops from Romania and other NATO member states will parade under the Arch of Triumph.
Over 300 military vehicles and 50 aircraft will also take part in the parade. The F-16 fighters that Romania acquired from Portugal will be the main novelty in this year’s parade. Romania officially took over the first batch of F-16s this year.
The is scheduled to start at 11:00, when President Klaus Iohannis will reach the Arch of Triumph square and will salute the Guard of Honor. Romania’s anthem will be played and the President will lay a wreath. Then, the parade will start.
The traffic will be restricted on Bucharest’s Kiseleff Boulevard and some other streets in the area between 9:00 and 14:00.
