Romania will launch a start up financing program worth some EUR 150 million for IT, creative industries and tourism.
“We want to finance the youth’s creative ideas that would support tourism […]. This will put Romania on the European entrepreneurial map as a favorable destination for investments,” said the Minister Delegate for Small and Medium Enterprises, Florin Jianu.
The financing programs target young ages, 15 to 19, as well as 19 to 25. For these age groups, business simulations will benefit from funding.
Financing for the period 2014 – 2020 will start soon, and small and medium enterprises will get EUR 800 million from the Regional Operational Programme, and EUR 4 billion via the Competitiveness Operational Programme and the Human Capital Operational Programme.
