Romania talks Post privatization with EC & Belgian Post
Romanian authorities met on Monday, March 23, in Brussels representatives of the European Commission and the Belgian Post, which is interested to take over the Romanian Post.
They discussed the competition issues related to privatization, said Bogdan Chiritoiu, president of the Competition Council.
Belgian Post wants to be sure it won’t run the risk of being sanctioned for things the Romanian Post has done in the past.
The Romanian authorities try to remove the suspicions related to state aid, said Chiritoiu, cited by local Mediafax.
They also discussed a possible debt-to-shares conversion for the debts to the state budget.
