Romania will export this year over two million tons of wheat and a similar quantity of corn, at prices per ton ranging from EUR 180 to EUR 240, Romanian Agriculture Minister Valeriu Tabara told newswire Mediafax.  Data presented by the minister indicate Romania will export corn of over EUR 360 million and wheat of over EUR 420 million.

"Romania will export cereals this year. I think over four million tons will be exported, namely, two million tons of wheat and over two million tons of corn. It is a good crop", said Tabara. He added prices on the global market are set at almost EUR 240 per ton of wheat used for bread, EUR 180 per ton of wheat fodder and almost EUR 180 per ton of corn.  Of last year's corn output of 8 million tons, 1.7 million tons were exported and revenues reached EUR 252 million.
