Romania to sell Govt. bonds to the population in early-2015
Romania will sell government bonds to the population in the first quarter of next year, and the Romanian Treasury plans to select the offer’s brokers this month.
The size of the offer, initially estimated at RON 100 million (some EUR 22 million), could be modified according to brokers’ recommendations and the demand from the population, according to Stefan Nanu, the general manager of the Treasury, cited by local Wall-street.ro.
The bonds will be sold on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, more precisely at the offices of the banks or the brokerage firms selected to intermediate the offer. The value of one bond will be of RON 1,000 (EUR 225).
