Romania’s famous Sibiu Salami could get European protection after the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture has submitted the necessary documentation to do so, reports local Economica.net.

The Sibiu Salami could become the second Romanian product included among EU’s protected products, three years after the Romanian Topoloveni plum jam (Magiun de prune Topoloveni) was added by the European Commission to the register of protected designations of origin (PDO) and protected geographical indications (PGI).
