Romania welcomes hot summer with first heat wave of the season
After a snowy winter and a rainy spring, Romania is gearing up for a hot summer. A heat wave has taken over the country, with temperatures reaching 35 – 36 degrees Celsius.
The hot weather report from the country's Meteorology Administration (ANMH) covers the entire country, from June 19 to June 22.
In some areas of Romania, the temperature – humidity index will reach the critical 80 threshold, mainly in the plain areas. The average minimum temperature will be of 19 degrees Celsius, lower in depressions and in the Danube Delta.
