Romania currently has a total of 120,000 IT specialists but software companies and IT departments will require 300,000 employees in 2020, according to estimations of ANIS, the employers’ association in this sector.

“With a current market with 120,000 IT specialists and a growing IT sector, Romania should consider the intense development of this field and support the professional development of another 180,000 IT specialists in the next five years, so they could find a job in both software companies and in the IT departments of companies active in other areas,” according to ANIS, reports local Mediafax.
