Romania wins six medals at the International Mathematics Olympiad in Cape Town
Romania’s team retuned with six medals from the International Mathematics Olympiad in Cape Town, South Africa, according to the Romanian Ministry of Education.
Stefan Spataru is the Romanian student who won the gold medal, while Simona Diaconu, Paul-Gabriel Musca, Andrei Teodor Andronache, Viorel Andrei Bud and Ioan-Laurentiu Ploscaru won silver.
This year’s edition of the Olympiad gathered 557 participants from 105 countries.
