The local advertising market will grow by 2.8% this year, after five years of decline, mainly due to the expansion of the digital sector, according to Zenith Romania's estimations. By end-2014, investments in the media sector are expected to reach USD 394 million.
According to the estimations, the digital sector will increase by 12% this year, reports local Hotnews.ro, the mobile segment being the sector that registers the highest progress. Although this segment will grow by 30% this year, its share within total investments remains relatively low, of 5%, but it’s expected to increase to 6-6.5% by end-2015.
TV continues to attract most of the investments in advertising – 63.9%, followed by the digital segment – 13.7%, the outdoor sector – 10.1%, radio – 5.8%, magazines – 3.5%, newspapers – 2.6% and cinema – 0.4%.
The global advertising market is expected to increase by 5.3% this year, compared to 3.9% in 2013.
