Romanian among finalists of National Geographic Traveller’s 2015 photography competition
National Geographic Traveller (UK) has unveiled the finalists of its 2015 photography competition. A Romanian is among them.
There were six finalists in total, one for each of the competition’s categories: Action, Animal, People, River, Rural and Urban.
Alecsandra Raluca Dragoi's New Year’s Traditions in Comanesti, Romania, is the People category choice, while Barry Robertson’s Bleaker Island, in the Falkland Islands is shortlisted in the Animal category, reports telegraph.co.uk.
Yanick Targonski - Train from Ella to Kandy, Sri Lanka is the finalist in the Action category, Philip Braude's image Urban Trees, London, was chosen in the Urban category, while Claire Carter's Reflections on a Melting River, in Rio de las Vueltas, Argentinian Patagonia is the River category choice.
The sixth finalist, in the Rural category, is Chris Miller with Son Doong Cave, shot in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam.
All six category winners have won a year’s subscription to National Geographic Traveller and a place each on Foto Ruta London’s flagship photography excursion Foto Ruta Clue, writes telegraph.co.uk.
The grand-prize winner will be announced on February 14.
