A Romanian citizen was among the 110 passengers of the plane that crashed in Africa on Thursday, July 24, according to official sources quoted by Reuters.

An Air Algerie flight crashed on Thursday en route from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso to Algiers with 110 passengers on board, an Algerian aviation official said.

The passenger list also included 50 French, 24 Burkinabe, eight Lebanese, four Algerians, two from Luxembourg, one Belgian, one Swiss, one Nigerian, one Cameroonian, one Ukrainian plus the six crew members who were from Spain.

The plane allegedly crashed near the capital of the African state of Niger and all 116 persons on board allegedly died, according to Air Algerie, quoted by Mediafax.

This comes after a TransAsia Airways crashed off Taiwan during a thunderstorm on Wednesday and a Malaysia Airlines plane was downed over Ukraine last week, killing 298 people. A Romanian was also in the Malaysia Airlines plane.
