Romanian Anticorruption Directorate to investigate diaspora vote
The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) asked the Prosecutor's Office of the High Court of Cassation and Justice for the file on diaspora voting issues, where facts of abuse of office and impeding citizens from exercising the right to vote are researched, reports local Hotnews.ro.
The file was sent yesterday by the Prosecutor's Office to DNA for further research.
Social Democrat Party spokesman Gabriela Firea said on Thursday that from the party's point of view the law was respected, there was no bad will and the political cost was painful.
National Liberal Party (PNL) first vice-president Catalin Predoiu said that transferring the diaspora file to DNA can suggest that high official corruption is involved
