Romanian auction house sells historical buildings of EUR 7 mln
Romanian auction house Artmark concluded transactions worth EUR 7 million with historical buildings such as mansions or castles last year.
The company sold the house of the painter Corneliu Baba or the villa Stirbey in Mamaia. The deals were carried out via Artmark Historical Estate, Artmark’s department specialized in selling historical houses.
In 2016, the company had in its portfolio historical buildings worth EUR 125 million. The most important deals from last year included the sale of the Salbek castle in Arad, with EUR 450,000, the house Corneliu Baba on Aviatorilor boulevard in Bucharest with EUR 600,000, or the Pogany castle in Paclis, with a starting price of EUR 500,000. For the Stirbey villa in Mamaia, the starting price was EUR 450,000.
Artmark Historical Estate also sold the Podgoreanu mansion in Ilfov, which was estimated at EUR 300,000, and the Ion Mihalache memorial house in Arges, estimated at EUR 80,000.
