Romanian-born actor plays alongside Meryl Streep in upcoming American comedy-drama
Romanian-born American actor Sebastian Stan plays in the upcoming American comedy-drama Ricki and the Flash, alongside three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep. The movie is directed by Jonathan Demme and written by Diablo Cody.
The film tells the story of an aging rock star that tries to connect with her estranged kids. It will be released in Romania on September 4 this year, according to data posted on IMDB movie portal.
Stan will also play in Ridley Scott's Sci-Fi, Action-Adventure movie The Martian, starring Matt Damon. The Martian is expected on screens in the U.S. in November 2015.
Sebastian Stan was born in Constanta, Romania, in 1982. At age 8, he moved to Vienna with his mother, and later to New York.
He made a name for himself in Hollywood due to his roles in blockbuster movies Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and in Black Swan (2010).
One of his best roles was in the TV mini-series Political Animals, where he played alongside famous American actor Sigourney Weaver.
Stan also played The Mad Hatter/Jefferson in the ABC's fantasy drama Once Upon a Time, Prince Jack Benjamin in Kings and Carter Baizen in Gossip Girl.
