Romanian businessman buys EUR 25,000 suit with gold and platinum wires

13 December 2011

Ego Men's fashion Concept in France created a suit for an unnamed Romanian businessman, for EUR 25,000. This is the most expensive suit ever sold in Romania and arrived in the country under maximum security.

The suit was made from a fabric called Vanquish 2, which was created by Dormeuil and is valued as the most expensive in the world. The fabric’s three component fibers are called Vicuña, Pashmina and Qiviuk. Vicuña comes from the fleece of the animal of the the same name. In the same family as llamas and also  living in the Andes, vicuñas are smaller and shorter haired than their better known relatives. Pashmina is made from the fur of the goats surviving on the Himalayan peaks at 4,800 meters height, while Qiviuk comes from Alaska’s bison fur. Besides these rare fibers the suit contains gold and platinum wires.

More than 80 hours of work and over 5,000 stitches were needed for creating this suite.
