Romanian businessman Patriciu to be buried this weekend in Bellu Cemetery in Bucharest
Romanian businessman Dinu Patriciu will buried on Saturday, August 30, 11:00, in the Bellu Cemetery in Bucharest, according to a statement of his family, reports local Mediafax.
The businessman’s body will be transported from London and the coffin will be deposited on Friday evening, August 29, at the Bellu Cemetery Chapel.
Dinu Patriciu died at the age of 64 in a hospital in London. He has been suffering from cancer for several years and in 2012 he had a liver transplant.
Patriciu, born on August 3, 1950, was one of the richest Romanians. He used to own oil and gas company Rompetrol, which he sold in 2007 to KazMunaiGaz (KMG), Kazakhstan’s state-owned company, in a deal estimated to be worth around USD 3 billion, and went on to invest in retail, real estate and media.
