Romanian cabinet member Elena Udrea boldly poses for fashion magazine

Romanian Tourism Minister Elena Udrea has recently posed for local fashion magazine Tabu, in an issue dedicated to powerful women. The issue has already attracted international media attention. British Daily Mail wrote an article about Udrea's picture posing as Madonna, “in a skin tight rubber dress and thigh high kinky boots.” She has also posed as Cleopatra, Eva Peron, Jackie Kennedy, Margaret Thatcher.

It is not the first time Elena Udrea makes the cover of a fashion magazine in Romania. She has previously posed for One magazine.

The member of the Romanian cabinet also wrote  on her blog about her interview she had with Tabu, saying she would like to see that one of the large parties in Romania is open to promoting a women from within for the most important position in the country – the presidential seat.

Ever since she got the ministerial seat, Udrea has stirred comments both in her country and abroad, due to her sometimes provocative outfits and her bold comments. Commentators underline the close connection she has with Romanian president Traian Basescu. Despite all these, she managed to be one of the most active members of the current Government, received increasing media attention for the Tourism Ministry's projects.
