Romanian cable manufacturer Romcab doubles profit

Romanian cable manufacturer Romcab Targu Mures recorded a net profit of EUR 8.7 million in the first nine months of the year, double the profit recorded in the same period last year.

The company had operating revenues of EUR 183.5 million at the end of September, and operating expenses of EUR 170.9 million.

The producer’s own equity reached EUR 45.2 million after the first nine months of the year, up from EUR 36.4 million at the end of December 2015. The company had long-term debts of EUR 16.5 million and current debts of EUR 191.8 million at the end of September.

The cable manufacturer, which is controlled by local investor Zoltan Prosszer, is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and has a market capitalization of EUR 19 million.
