Romanian car manufacturer Dacia has sold more than 3.5 million cars in Europe and the Mediterranean basin in just over 10 years, according to data presented on Monday by Renault Group, the Romanian brand’s owner.

The 3,500,000th car sold was a Sandero Stepway purchased by a customer in England.

Dacia sales increased by 10.1% in the first half of 2015, reaching 290,024 vehicles. In Europe, sales also increased by 5.5% to 205,436 units.

The Romanian brand remains on the fifth place in France’s passenger vehicle market, with a 5.3% market share, and on fourth place for retail customer sales, according to Renault.

Out of the 44 countries that sell the Dacia brand, 19 achieved record sales levels during the first six months of 2015.

Renault took over the Romanian carmaker in 1999 and re-launched the company in 2004.
