Romanian causes 4 deaths, over 20 injured in Greece highway crash
Romanian truck driver caused an accident in Northern Greece yesterday that led to four deaths and at least 24 injured. The Romanian failed to stop in due time because of problems to his truck’s braking system.
The truck driver survived and is being investigated by Greek authorities. His truck hit about 30 cars on a highway close to Salonic, after failing to stop at the Police signals about work on the highway and after entering a restricted area, according to Mediafax.
After the accident, the man first fled the scene and hid on a field nearby, by the Greek Police found him. The truck the Romanian was driving was registered in Bulgaria, according to Novinite.com.
