Romanian Central Bank’s foreign exchange reserves up in September
The foreign exchange reserves held by Romania’s National Bank BNR stood at EUR 31.06 billion on September 30, 2014, up from EUR 30.87 billion registered at the end of August.
During September, the bank received over EUR 1.4 billion in inflows, representing changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of credit institutions, inflows into the Ministry of Public Finances’ accounts and inflows into the European Commission’s account, according to BNR.
The bank also saw EUR 1.22 billion in outflows, representing changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions and interest and principal payments on foreign currency public.
